The ceremony for the 9th edition of the Departmental Research Award in Provence was held on December 2, 2024, at the Hôtel du Département. Aziz Moqrich received an award for his work on the treatment of chronic pain.

The research conducted by Aziz Moqrich’s team has provided a better understanding of the mechanisms through which acute pain transforms into chronic pain. This work has also led to the development of a new generation of non-opioid pain-relief molecules, offering a promising alternative for the treatment of chronic pain.
