  • 2009-now Group leader at the IBDM, Marseille, France
  • 2016-2017 Visiting professor at the University of Cambridge, UK
  • 2000-2009 Research scientist at the Fresnel Institute, Marseille, France
  • 1998-2000 Marie-Curie postdoctoral fellow at EMBL, Heidelberg, Germany
  • 1995-1998 Ph.D. student, University J. Fourier, Grenoble, France 1995 Agrégation de Physique
  • 1992-1995 Physics student, Université de Paris & ENS ParisWith his group, Pierre-François Lenne aims to understand the physical principles underpinning animal morphogenesis. He develops and applies quantitative approaches to observe, perturb and predict morphogenetic movements. He studies how cells generate and respond to mechanical forces, from supramolecular interactions at cell-cell contacts to the global shape of tissues.
