The ORG-COMP project, coordinated by Irène Aksoy of the Stem Cell and Brain Research Institute (SBRI) in Lyon, aims to develop an innovative proof of concept for organ regeneration using a method known as developmental complementation. The principle involves injecting the cells into genetically modified blastocysts that are incapable of forming certain organs, thereby allowing the cells to facilitate the formation of the missing organs.
