Date de publication

Shaping Life is an international conference organized by the French Society for Developmental Biology (SFBD) every four years. The event serves as a platform for leading scientists and emerging researchers to present their latest findings and explore cutting-edge concepts in the field of developmental biology. The conference covers a wide range of topics, providing a comprehensive look at current trends and future directions in the discipline.

The upcoming edition of Shaping Life, scheduled for June 3-6, 2025, will be held in Cassis, a charming village on the Mediterranean coast near Marseille. The conference will take place at the Ousteau Calendal conference center.

The conference will feature a series of sessions that address key themes in developmental biology, including:

  • Stem Cells, Lineages & Regeneration
  • Morphogenesis
  • Physiology & Metabolism
  • New Tools & Technologies
  • Evolutionary Developmental Biology & Emerging Models
  • Gene Regulation

These sessions will bring together experts to discuss original research and emerging concepts that are shaping the future of developmental biology.

The first two editions of Shaping Life, held in Marseille in 2016 and 2021, attracted over 200 participants from around the world, making it a significant event for the global developmental biology community.

This third edition, co-organized by the IBDM, is expected to continue this tradition of international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
