TPR2 AMU 7.01

After completing my schooling in India, I studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Boston University from 2007 – 2011. I went on to do a Masters in Regenerative Medicine from Manipal University. This set me up to work as a Junior Research Fellow at InStem in Dr. Colin Jamor’s lab followed by a research associate position at CCAMP. I then began my PhD with Dr. Frank Schnorrer at IBDM and Dr. Olivier Theodoly at LAI through a CENTURI position.

I’ve worked on studying scarless epithelial wound repair in mice in Dr. Jamora’s lab and on the validation of small molecules for therapeutic interventions in neurodegenerative diseases at CCAMP. My PhD project focuses on understanding human skeletal muscle development using an iPSC derived in-vitro model. I’m especially interested in the role of mechanical stimuli, like constraining boundaries or external forces on the differentiation and development of the muscles.
